Dr. Neelufer Bana
Dentist
Dr. Bana grew up in Whitby and has been working at Appleton Dental for over ten years. She loves working with the staff and patients at Appleton Dental — so much so that she decided to buy the practice! She practices in all areas of dentistry and enjoys working with her patients to help them achieve healthy, beautiful smiles. For her, the best part of her day is being able to see entire families thrive, from babies to parents and grandparents.
She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at McMaster University. She continued her studies and received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Bana highly values continuing education and prides herself in keeping up-to-date with the newest research and developments in dentistry.

Dr. R. Todd Appleton
Dentist
Dr. Appleton completed both his Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Western Ontario. He moved to Whitby in 1997 and has been working at Appleton Dental ever since. Dr. Appleton provides high-quality dental services using state-of-the-art dental techniques. After 26 years as the owner of Appleton Dental, in 2023, he decided to switch roles with Dr. Bana and make her the new owner. He continues to work at Appleton Dental and values being able to provide dental care to families in Whitby.
In his free time, Dr. Appleton enjoys music and acting. He is involved in various Community Theatre groups in Durham and Scarborough. If you get a chance, it's definitely worth checking him out at one of his shows!

Dr. Michael Landzberg
Periodontist
The first thing you’ll discover when you meet Dr. Landzberg is that he is not just treating your gum disease or oral health problems — he is treating you as a unique person. He listens to your concerns and needs with compassion and, whenever possible, uses minimally invasive approaches to minimize discomfort and hasten recovery.
Dr. Landzberg provides a full range of periodontal procedures. He is familiar with the latest techniques for diagnosing and treating periodontal disease and gum recession and is highly qualified to perform cosmetic periodontal procedures, including dental implants and teeth-in-a-day.

Dr. Jon Rapp
Endodontist
Dr. Rapp is our expert endodontist who specializes in root canals. Originally from Montreal, he graduated with distinction from McGill University with a major in Anatomy and Cell Biology and a minor in Psychology. In 2001, Dr. Rapp obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The University of Toronto. Upon graduation he was awarded the Edward G Dore Award.
After seven years in private practice, Dr. Rapp returned to academia to pursue additional specialized training at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, where he completed a two-year specialty program in Endodontics. He was the recipient of The Dr. Robert Uchin Award.
